Scentsy for Wallace!

Here we are at the end of our adoption journey but Denise Landingham is holding a "Scentsy" (candles and decor, etc.) party fund-raiser 'til the end of October at her Scentsy online store. She is not making a profit. All profits will be donated to the costs of the adoption expenses for "Wallace" (our Zephaniah). So you can get Christmas shopping done early and help bring home a little boy who is an orphan no more!

Thank you so much, Denise!

Coffee!!

We have a "Just Love Coffee" store page set up now! $5 from every bag of certified fair trade coffee or t-shirt ordered on our "Coffee for Wallace" store page and a monetary amount from other items (like $1, $3, etc.) goes towards our adoption expenses! Two different "Organic" kinds, a "decaf", and several others! Mmm!!!

Here's a bit more about "Just Love Coffee".

Rob Webb knows coffee. When Rob was two years old, his father started Webb's Coffee Service, which blossomed into a full-blown refreshment service supplying businesses in Nashville, TN and the surrounding areas, and is now run by Rob.

Rob Webb knows the adoption process. In the summer of 2008, Rob and his wife Emily were called to adopt from Ethiopia. After much prayer and discussion with their first two children they started their adoption journey in August 2008. During the flurry of paperwork and preparation, Rob & Emily read books not only on adoption in general, but specifically on Ethiopia. Learning that Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee caught Rob's attention, and after reading about the living conditions and wages of the average coffee farmer, he was compelled to take action. What developed through his reading and his trip to Ethiopia to unite with his daughters was a realization that he could combine his expertise and longstanding desire to roast his own coffees with his desire to help others. Just Love Coffee Roasters was born! Roasting Fair Trade Specialty coffees, Just Love uses proceeds to help an Ethiopian orphanage and families adopting not just from Ethiopia, but from anywhere in the world.

2-3t Apron Dress :)

We're selling this little dress to raise funds for USCIS fees. It's an average 2-3t size, 100% cotton. It comes with darling little matching bloomers! I included plenty of pictures (maybe just because our "model" was adorable - he, he!). If you want to help us raise funds for Wallace's adoption by purchasing this dress please contact us at: rilysily@hotmail.com and let us know! (suggested donation $30 plus shipping costs). Once we confirm it's still available then you can donate via our "chipin" on this or our rilysilyfamily.blogspot.com page. I know this dress is going to a very special little girl!

Bracelets

Photobucket

We ordered some silicone bracelets that say "ONE LESS ORPHAN" on them.
To order one please donate towards our "chipin" to the right on this page. Then click HERE to go back to our blog and click on "CONTACT" at the top so you can e-mail us how many bracelets you'd like to buy to benefit Wallace's adoption and where you want them sent. We're asking for each one a $2-3 donation plus 50 cents for shipping. This is going towards our QUICKLY up-coming USCIS fees that will be due!

Home made diaper bags and blankets!

These make great gifts or if you just want a beautiful baby bag (or just a messenger bag!) that is unique, lightweight, machine washable and made of breathable cotton. I did not use poly fiber for the batting - instead 100% cotton batting.

Prices: $50.00 for a diaper bag, $30.00 for a baby quilt or blanket, $10.00 for a "mini" diaper bag or "mini" quilt for dolly or teddy.

white flowers with red in chocolate organic cotton

paisley-like color swirls on chocolate organic cotton

petite white floral swirls on chocolate 100% cotton

Here's an example - one I made months ago. Sorry for the chewed on sippy! I just grabbed one out of the cupboard and that was it!

This is what it looks like semi-stuffed (really you can get a LOT into this bag! I cloth diaper and am able to STUFF it with cloth dipes!).

Here's what it looks like without stuff in it :

And I had some left over material with that one so I made a matching one for my little girl. I also made her a "mini quilt" for her dolly. She now tucks in her "baby" with her baby's blanket (or as she calls them "baints") - she just loves it!

I really did love that material but haven't been able to find it since.
I did buy some material I thought might be just as cute, though! So I can make them in the following materials (or if you find one you like better you can send it and I'll make the bag).

Brown polka dot & floral:

Red polka-dot & flowers on blue:

This next one I plan to do as a "quilted" look so we'll just call it "pink quilted birds":

Don't forget that I can also make baby blankets or quilts and also "dolly" or "teddy" quilts!

Prices:
Diaper Bag: $50.00
Quilt or blanket: $30.00
Mini Diaper Bag or "teddy/dolly" quilt $10.00
Please contact to be sure the material you want is in stock and will be ready by the time you need it.
